I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
