This concluding episode of the celebrity edition of the popular reality show was mistakenly made available by international distributors before its planned UK airing on Thursday night, according to official sources.
Reports indicate that the finale was watched by a few hundred viewers of the online platform the streaming service in the North American country; these individuals could watch it for a short period before it was taken down.
This installment being released was not a error by the original broadcaster, and a representative for the corporation asked those who believe they know the result of the show to "refrain from posting potential spoilers".
"We urge anyone who believes they have uncovered the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to keep any information they have to themselves," the announcement said.
"Please avoid posting any spoilers so that the vast audience who have been faithfully following every development of the series can enjoy the finale this evening."
The Celebrity Traitors is presently the most-watched TV show of the year, with an average of 12.6m viewers across the initial installments.
